Endometriosis New Zealand would like to thank everyone who took part in its GivingTuesday campaign last week, which raised more than $4,000.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
As part of GivingTuesday, Endometriosis New Zealand asked Kiwis to upload a message to social media about why they supported or donated to the organisation.
Tanya Cooke, CEO at Endometriosis New Zealand, says it was the very first time the charity has taken part in GivingTuesday, and it was delighted to receive more than 100 online donations on the day.
“We are incredibly grateful to all those who generously donated, and to our friends at Adelphi Insurance Brokers New Zealand who matched donations dollar for dollar (up to the first $1,000 of donations).
“It was wonderful to see all of the messages of support on social media. Thank you so much to everyone who got involved and helped us to continue raising awareness of our work and of this disease,” she said.
The money The money raised will allow Endometriosis New Zealand to continue its important work of supporting the hundreds of thousands of Kiwis living with endometriosis. See some of the fantastic messages of support below.
