Held every March, Endometriosis Awareness Month is a global initiative that aims to raise the profile of endometriosis, a condition affecting an estimated 200 million people worldwide.
Our theme for this year is Your Story Shaping Our Future. Endometriosis is not just a health issue of today – it shapes education, work, whānau, fertility, wellbeing, and opportunity across a lifetime. Delayed diagnosis and limited access to care mean too many people face these impacts alone, for far too long.
When we listen to the stories of those with endometriosis, we learn more about the condition and raise awareness of its impacts. This works to benefit the futures of young people, their families, and future generations.

As part of Endometriosis Awareness Month 2026, we’re inviting people impacted by endometriosis to share their experiences. Every story helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind others they are not alone. Together, our voices can drive earlier diagnosis, better care, and brighter futures for young people and generations to come.
We would love to hear a little about you and your journey with endometriosis, what you would like to see change in the future (for example, improved education, greater awareness, earlier diagnosis, more funding for treatment and management, or better support services).

At least 120,000 girls, women and those assigned female at birth live with endometriosis in Aotearoa, New Zealand. This year for international endometriosis awareness month, Endometriosis New Zealand invites you to be a part of a powerful movement to raise awareness and vital funds for all those living with this condition.
Take part in the 120 Challenge to help support those living with endo! The challenge is open to absolutely anyone who is keen to make a difference for all those who are impacted by this condition.
The 120 Challenge is an opportunity to make your own challenge, one that suits you and all those around you. You might choose to go at it alone or challenge someone to join you. We encourage you to find inspiration in our theme for the month, Your Story Shaping Our Future, to create a fundraiser that excites you and inspires others! It could be a 120 metre bungy jump, it could be a 120 hour digital switch off, it could be 120km’s of walking – the choice is yours!
Throughout Endometriosis Awareness Month, we’ll be hosting and supporting a range of events across Aotearoa – both online and in local communities.
These events are an opportunity to learn more about endometriosis, hear lived experiences, connect with others, and take part in meaningful conversations that help shape a better future for those impacted.
Every Endometriosis Awareness Month, we host an online auction! This year, the auction is being held over 120 hours between 9:00pm 26 March – 9:00pm 31 March 2026.
